I hate how people talk about Charlotte. There is too much attention brought to what we lack, and not enough attention brought to what we have. Charlotte is home to a deep history & culture that often gets swept under the rug. The music scene, and the Hip-hop scene specifically, play a vital role in telling Charlotte's authentic story. Charlottes population is growing at about 60 people per day, cultural events and institutions are becoming more frequent, public transportation is developing, and the architectural standards are being set. Charlotte is well on its way to being a “big city” so it is important we highlight the voices in Charlotte that give our city a sound.
